Overview

Revered as sacred pilgrimage sites for Hindus, Adi Kailash is regarded as one of the Panch Kailash according to Hindu mythology, believed to be an exact replica of Mount Kailash, the divine abode of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Adi Kailash, affectionately known as ‘Chota Kailash’ lies nestled in Kuti, the last village of India, situated on the borders of the Indo-Tibetan region within the Kumaon region of India's Darchula district, soaring 5,945 meters above sea level.

Adi Kailash stands as the serene abode of Lord Shiva. Revered as a mirror image of Kailash Mansarovar, Adi Kailash finds mention in Hindu Mythology as the site where Shiva is said to have embarked on deep meditation and dwelled for a period. Nestled amidst breathtaking natural splendor, its snow-capped peak casts a mesmerizing aura over the surrounding valley. Om Parvat stands distinct among the eight mountain ranges, revered by followers of Lord Shiva for its sacred significance. One notable aspect contributing to its name is the miraculous impression of the sacred 'Om' symbol visible upon its surface. Due to its extraordinary nature, many travelers from across the world are drawn to Om Parvat, eager to witness this phenomenon firsthand, as mere hearsay fails to convey its awe-inspiring reality.
